Zones of Action

This is a rules file for Zillions of Games, a Windows program that will let you play any puzzle or strategy board game you can feed it the rules to. With Zillions-of-Games installed, this rules file will let you play this game against your computer.

1. Each player has One King and Eight Stones. 2. For starting position, Stones must be placed on the first row closest to that player. King may be placed in any arrangement on empty square. 3. Players alternate move one of their own pieces. 4. King may jump to any empty square without attacked. 5. For captruing Opponent's King or moving to an empty square, Stone would make a (x, y) jump as any any-owner stones or Friend's King is in the fomer's {x, y} relative coordinate. (x=0, 1, -1, 2, or -2; y=0, 1, -1, 2, or -2) For example d4 Stone lets f5 Stone jump like a Knight. f6 Stone lets f5 Stone step like a Wazir. 6. The object of the game is to checkmate Opponent's King. ZoA Problem 1 Black to play and mate in one. 1...Stone d3-c4# ZoA Problem 2 White to play and mate in one. 1 King h8-f4# ZoA Problem 3 Black to play and mate in one. 1...Stone f7-f8#
