Zillions of Games file for Cross3D Chess
Notes
Hello ! You'll find enclosed the new version of my Game. It adds essentially Double Move to the current game "Cross3D" and variant "Cross3DS", named respectively "Cross3D2M" and "Cross3DS2M". The principle is to make the game less "drawish", by allowing to move pairs of pieces, in the sense that you're only allowed to move the same kind of piece as the one you just moved on first step (the piece itself excepted), and capture the same kind of piece as the one you just captured (but you can move or capture only one if you please by double selecting the piece, that is null move). The reason is still to find in the options of the main game: you need twice the number of the 3D extended pieces to recover 2D-like game, and twice the number of steps. Unfortunatly, the "loss condition" seems a bit uncontrolable from the engine, which sometimes "suicides" ! I tried to integrate King safety control in 3D (as can be seen from the source code) but it burdened the Game so much that it became unplayable (I'm longing for some kind of King position easily finding macro) ! Nevertheless, it can be played at least by humans, or by checking odd things happening against computers... Regards, Stephane Burkhart.
