6hess
This page contains one or more presets for playing a game online with Game Courier, an online server for playing Chess variants by correspondence.
In 6hess, each piece can only move 6 times in a game. After its 6th move, the piece is removed from the board. A player moving the King a 6th time loses. A Pawn reaching the final rank is removed from the board and does not promote.
8hess is played the same as 6hess, except that pieces have 8 moves. Pawns promote on the last rank, but the promoted piece is limited to 2 moves.
