Crooked Bishops certainly have an easier move to remember than the piece that they replace, and that makes the game itself an improvement on 'Mideast' Chess. However, the rating is also for the page, which presents its variant more clearly. It is good that all pieces are either referred to by a familiar name or cross-referenced to one.
