Hishigata Shogi. Variation of Maka-Dai-Dai Shogi (ultra large Shogi). (19x19, Cells: 361) [All Comments] [Add Comment or Rating]I've never gotten into the huge Shogi variants, but if I did, this would definitely be a good starting point. I really like the idea, and it can be applied to other large Shogi variants, or even an original chess variant designed for a large board. Very good, very clever. I, too, would recommend expansion, even if it just means copying and pasting a bunch from the original Maka Dai Dai Shogi rules.
