I must say, this is by far one of the best shogi variants conceived in
recent years. The game's flow is beautiful, the pieces balanced, and the
concept original. I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes shogi
or just fun games in general.
I have to comment that the game is not as short as the author would
describe. Games seemed to last about 60 moves or so (about the length of a
short Shogi game). The chase for mate at the end was more exciting than
even normal shogi as the pieces need to be in better harmony as they are
generally not as strong.
If you haven't tried this, do it! Brilliant game!
