I will consider a version with an extra row of shorter-range pieces, although that would probably have the middle cells reinserted as they were removed to restrict Panda movement. I could call it Filled Commedia dell'Arte Chess, and it would be included on this page. I may also add a comment suggesting a 4-player version with the existing pieces.
