A personal note.

The crux of this post is that I was busy with my real world life the past three months and I got lazy about writing the game courier reinforcement rules for my two apothecary chess games, as I promised in early May. More details below.

Most of the month of May and early June I worked at an Romanian stock market trading company with Kazakh capital. I was unhappy that they did not provided the challenges I was promissed and the were unhappy because I am seemingly a slow programmer, so we've soon parted ways.

After that I had to interrupt the treatment for my mental illness that meant two difficult weeks.

After this I got employed at an medium american electronics company in Bucharest as an neural networks programmer. After two weeks I've decided to tell them that I used to be mentally ill, just in case the worse comes to pass. They have told me that I should have informed them on that since the interview and fired me oficially with no reason (as you can do that for the first 90 days according to Romanian law.).

So I don't have happy thougths to share but I'm back to the chess variants world, that's definetly a plus. First things first I will start enforcing rules for the apothecary games!

Please pardon my barging in like that but how I understand the Sissa it moves n spaces like a rook and then n spaces like a bishop or vice versa, How does it move in a straight line. As I see the sissa is some sort lame nightrider.

I think I've seen something similar in a game named Rotary, Does anyone remember? Nice idea!

Hello Greg, long time no se I could get back to you for unrelated matter!

During our tournament Beronlina Game you have made an ilegal move as far as I can see, as you have moved an berolina pawn regularilly, I guess it is excusalbe but still :)!

Moreover, in the other two games of mine this rounds, my opponents have not moved in a week, is there any way to promt them, me or you?

Hello Nicolino, and thank you for taking time for my variant.

Actually I've made Apothecary chess 1 & Apothecary chess 2 like twins. That is mainly why the champion is still a minor piece so they both games have 4 minor pieces each. I'm aware that's not entirely apropiate but I think it's ok as anyway the difference between champion and rook is still pretty significant!

I think it would be useful to specify the rules of this game, I have found them posted by you on another website but not here, honestly I have not understood them much, like what is the objective of the game :(!

I cannot see an Universal chess game I was playing against per hommerberg. Any reason why?

It seems to me that you have placed the pieces for bent bozos in reverse order of what would it be in the opening. My take on this would be that most pieces should as much as possible move towards the center with their first move. I believe that happens only for black, i.e. the example you gave.

For example if bozos are white then the left aanca should be placed on g1 as it moves towards the center that way. But from black's point of view the right aanca would move towards the center if you place it at the beginning on g8. I think it's not that tricky what I'm saying and it goes that way for all three pair of pieces. See you soon!
