Windows 2000 is rock-solid, and I hear that Windows XP is too. Please, please do not think that Intel hardware sucks just because Microsoft has behaved so irresponsibly. The Intel hardware is flawless, at least since the infamous Pentium floating-point bug of about 10 years ago, and that was a pretty minor bug at that.
