A new variant with a request for review.

To get it straight: The "royal pawns" don't promote? Than the piece is a Man or a Commoner, known from historic Chess Variants like Courierspiel.

Next point: What about en passant? Is it allowed or not, and if yes, do only quick pawns capture en passant or also the royal pawns? (One could argue: Why talk about en passant when it does not exist in this game. But we all come from Chess and a difference between a Chess Variant and FIDE Chess should be made explicit.)

The quick pawns make this game faster than the Two Pieces version. Promotion of a quick pawn is decisive.

That's right!

Than the piece is a Man or a Commoner, known from ...

I'm well aware of that, but I 'refuse' to use the image of the 'Man'; I find it terrible (looks like a saturated bourgeois)

What about en passant?

You're right, it should have been mentioned. En passant I didn't intend to, but I'm open to that.

I have adapted the description.

This page of mine is ready for publication for the following reasons:

  • The rules are clear, unambiguous, and easy-to-understand.
  • The rules are comprehensive.
  • There is a locally-hosted setup image, or the setup is the same as Chess.
  • Locally-hosted images are being used for pieces, or only Chess pieces are being used.
  • The piece names are linked to Piececlopedia articles when there are any.
  • No code on the page is broken, or it has no code.

Perhaps the ‘guard’ image is more to your taste?

I think it's an interesting, simplified chess variant. The page looks well structured and ready for publication.
