Please bear with me - I've written only about half of the text and need to upload a whole lot of graphics. I'll get around to it tomorrow sometime:-)
I've just uploaded a couple of images for this game, but they're refusing to display. Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong? [It was the u with the umlaut (dicritic mark) over it. To store the images, we create a folder with the same name as the name of the variant. Unfortunately, such a folder becomes difficult to access because of this character. I've uploaded about two-thirds of the images now. I can't upload any more today - I've exceeded my 500KB limit, so I'll come back tomorrow and finish the job.
By the way, can anybody please explain the purpose of the 500KB limit rule? I find it rather inconvenient.
I've uploaded a Zillions file package (zipped), and after a lot of tweaking, I've finally got it to appear here..
However, I can't get this page to link to it! Can somebody please help me?

I've just released version 2.0, a significant upgrade. The layout has been changed, with a greater piece density. The graphics have all been improved, and a new Zillions of Games file has been posted.
I have just released version 2.1, whose greatly optimised code should make the game run much more efficiently, especially on older computers.
I know there is a way to tweak the piece values, as you said you wanted to do with the archer and pawns in your rules, but I don't know the ZoG programming language well enough to tell you how. I have seen a few games do it. If I recall (and I may be wrong), try either Catapults of Troy or Fugue. I think those at least one of those two .zrf files has examples on how to do it. It is very easy to tweak piece values. You create one or more invisible squares outside the board, and fill them with empty pieces (either of a neutral party, or an equal amount of black and white dummy-pieces). Then you make an add to these squares, but first you must verify that it's empty: (define tweak-shift ( $1 (verify empty?) add)) These extra adds must be placed outside the normal move type, so that they get a lower priority (to avoid that Zillions wastes time on them). The more adds you make to these external squares, the higher is the piece value. If you need to lower the piece value, you must increase the piece value in all the others. When increasing the general piece value of all pieces, the queen must have most adds, and the pawns need only a few, perhaps only one extra add. I don't understand why you can't download. Other people have downloaded. /Mats
I don't know what's causing the problem - maybe it's my own server. All I know is that whenever I try to download, a window pops open asking for your password. But never mind - I also found some of your games on the Zillions website. I've downloaded a few by now and am studying them:-) I think I've got the general idea figured out now, so you'll see an update here soon. Thanks a lot!
