I have an idea for a game: Geo-Thermal Nuclear Shatranj.  Or, Global Thermal Nuclear Shatranj. 

Anyone have any ideas on how to take Shatranj in any form, with a
dominance of short range pieces and adding long range missiles that act
like nukes?  Aka, 'Geo-Thermal Nuclear Shatranj'?

The idea is so wacky to me, I am curious who could come up with an
interesting way of actually turning it into a game.

Edit:
For some reason 'Geo-thermal Nuclear War' is in my mind in reference to the move Wargames.  Does look like someone else (Mr. Smith) came up with Nuclear Shatranj.
