Each of these games requires some work, although not too much. It's going to be a month or two before I add any complicated games, though. I really need to get the last couple of bugs fixed, and there are still a few important performance enhancements I want to add, too. It is still possible to more than double the speed of ChessV at most games. Eventually, though, I will add support for all of the games you mention. Rococo will come first, as that's by far the easiest.
Greg, what´s new with Chess V?. I have observed that the link Page is not available since (at least) a few weeks, or I can not access it.
Yeah, I no longer have the gregstrong.com website up, so the ChessV link page should reference the sourceforge page, http://sourceforge.net/projects/chessv. I will ask that the page be updated when a new version comes out and I need to update the page anyway. I have been pretty busy with school this last semester so I didn't get too much time to work on it. I have done a number of things, but I can't release an update because the program is in flux right now. There are several new bugs I have introduced while making changes that I need to find and fix... Still, should be something new fairly soon.
Greg, could you copy your last message to the original page? This is valuable to Chess V users. Thanks.
Is there any way you can set up a clickable option for watching ChessV play Baroque/Ultima with itself? Would it always play the same openings or defenses, or is there a random function involved? And also, so long as you are constantly updating ChessV, maybe you could penalize the computer for placing its pinchers on the same diagonal as each other? What works for Chess - connecting pinchers on the same diagonals - is slightly disadvantageous in Baroque. Pinchers are positioned somewhat better if they are positioned a Knight's move away from a friendly piece.
Greetings to all and a specific question for Greg Strong. Greg I've been reading about ChessV updates and stuff like this, and the whole series of things about Gothic Chess and the patent and some kind of arguing and the like. But way to go on beating the Smirf program in the 2005 Gothic Chess Computer World Championship!!! Why the heck did you promote to a chancellor though?
THe link is not available. And talking about Greg Strong, there are not new comments from him in this site since some time. What´s new, Greg?.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/chessv will allow you to download the ChessV 0.81 release. The site 'gregstrong.com' seems to be down. I do not know if Greg still has internet access.
