arguments:

  1. What’s the matter? why you did it just now?

  2. You reverted to font that looks as almost everywhere and site is now as every site. Bruh/#%

  3. Why not instead watch unpublished submissions from March?

no just couple of subjective critics that you’ll throw in the rubbish bin. Site cool and majestic

was before 03.02.25. Now it’s just site.

Because of the name, I didn't realize that STIX Two Text was based on Times New Roman. However, in comparisons between the two fonts, STIX Two Text looks much better than Times New Roman. It also looks better than related alternatives, such as Tinos, TeX Gyre Termes, and Doulos SIL.

In comparison to Literata, STIX Two Text makes it easier for me to read whole words at a glance, whereas with Literata, I spend more time looking at individual characters, which causes me to read more slowly. This may be partly because some characters in Literata look unusual, such as the lowercase g and the uppercase Q. Somehow, the characters in Literata seem stiffer and more isolated than those in STIX Two Text, which flow together better. One thing that may be contributing to this is that the characters are taller in Literata. In tests, a smaller character height made it easier to read both Charis SIL and STIX Two Text. Additionally, it has long been a peeve of mine that the italics in Literata look rather unusual and distinctive. Italics are supposed to flow together, but each character in Literata's italics would stand out as its own character. I prefer how the italics in STIX Two Text look completely normal, the way italics should look.

Literata did look more distinctive, but its italics are hard to distinguish.

Since I was still seeing Literata in Safari, I decided to view the site on a different browser on my iPad to see the difference. On the iPad, Literata is more legible. Since all the text is smaller on my iPad than on my desktop monitor, the greater height of Literata characters helps me read them better. So I’ll look into using different fonts for mobile and desktop.

Yeah! this’ll be right IMO.
