While I don't see another game called Chess80, there are already multiple Chess variants using the same board, and another name might distinguish the game better.
I think your castling rule is the one I introduced in Grotesque Chess, but it's described in a more convoluted way. I have called it Flexible Castling, and it is also mentioned on our page for Castling Rules in Chess Variants.
Thanks for the input. I have cleaned up a bit the castling explanations and put some references to the Flexible castling as you suggested. Note there's a small difference with Flexible Castling in that the King may also occupy the Rook's original spot. In regards to the name, short of coming up with something too whimsical or outlandish for the sake of being unique, I prefer to keep it as-is. There's a multitude of other variants which have numbers e.g. chess960, chess100, etc. I may rename it later if I ever find something worthwhile.
I published this after making some changes to the HTML and the organization. I moved details on design considerations and piece values to the Notes section, as it helps to already know how to play the game before reading these. I changed header levels to start with H3, as H1 and H2 are handled by the script that turns the database entry into a web page. I set the static diagram to show up only if JavaScript is disabled so that the reader will see only one diagram.
