Those of you who are fascinated by George Dekle Sr's Coordinator piece might find the new Correlator piece interesting. It is really an enhanced Coordinator. Like the latter it can capture at the intersections of the orthogonals. But it can also capture at the intersections of the diagonals (on which king and Correlator are placed). This means that the Correlator can be more active than the Coordinator, while there are more capture possibilities.
The Correlator can capture both
pieces by going to the marked square; the rook is captured at the diagonal
intersection, and the bishop at the orthogonal intersection.
