The Eris seems to be too strong. If I understand the piece correctly, the Eris can attack any non-royal piece in the opponent's backrow.
The problem is that the Eris coordinates with the enemy King. All backrow pieces share their rank with the King.
It takes at least two turns to move the King from his starting position. The white Eris can capture a backrow piece on the second turn.
Black would need to free the black Eris first. White might still have the advantage. I am not a great chess player, but I am still not convinced that the Eris is balanced.

This variant is interesting. There is, however, a potential problem concerning the Cannon and Stallion armies:
The Stallion army can trade a Korean Cannon for an Elephant General on the second turn. As far as I can see, the Cannon army has no way to stop this.
