Chess-set
The chess set of which you can see photo's below was made from clay, and was made by my mother, mrs. Marijke Bodlaender-Groote. As you can see, kings, queens, and bishops are people, and all pawns are different. This charming set was made around 1980.The photo's were made with a Kodak DC-20 camera, which was kindly donated to the Chess Variant Pages by David Howe. Click on the images to see them full size. (File-sizes of full size images is about 50K.)
